Volume 6, Issue 3
In honor of absolutely none of the regulars posting yesterday, today's theme is FATIGUE.
Ted: Bush-whacked
After six days in the water, the helo finally arrived to rescue me. I was floating on my coleman campaign cooler done up in woodland camo and wearing my fatigues. I'd been planning a hunting trip that morning when the levee burst, so I had my rifle, ammo, supplies, and lots of facepaint sunscreen.
I spent two days in the truck then four more days on the cooler, rationing my strength and water.
The helos flew over twice but didn't stop for me until I took off my damn shirt. The Coastie said they thought I was just a bush.
Laurence - Heavy Hangs The Ape-Crown
Fatigued and wounded, King Kong clung to the building with his remaining strength. However, all he could muster was not enough, and his grip failed at the worst possible time.
As he fell, he realized that he should have carried the blonde in his mouth so his arms would share the strain of climbing the building.
He also decided that climbing the building was quite possibly a bad idea, too.
His nemesis told the gathered crowd that beauty killed the beast, but Kong's final thought was that poor planning and a lack of ergonomic awareness was a major contributing factor.
